I know, I know....my blog has become a ghost town these days. So much going on I just haven't sat down and to post all the ongoings! I'll get there....

i love technology
Here's the thing....I really do love technology. Some of my most favorite blogs to read are gadget and techie related. Nerdy, yes...but its just so darn cool. Every time I say "I love technology" I always think of this GREAT song from Napoleon Dynamite. Love my friends who are in it, love the dang movie, and I really LOVE Kip. Today is my day off (TGIM) and I'm taking it off! Enjoy this rare piece of cinematic brilliance and I'll see you tomorrow...

mad men yourself
I've spent the last 20 minutes playing with the Mad Men Yourself application on the AMC site. Love the show....love the app too :) This is what I envision for myself in the 1960's. Have fun!

dear diary
I am horrible at writing in my journal. I know how important it is to have a record of my personal history and that there are many health benefits connected to keeping a journal. For instance the Alternative Medicine Encyclopedia says this about keeping a journal:
Journal writing produces a number of benefits in healthy people—among other things, it enhances creativity, helps cope with stress, and provides a written record of memorable life experiences. That sounds good, right?
I recently came across Penzu - a free online personal journal that is completely private. I really like their lined paper format and the ability to add pics {awesome}. I think I might give it a try....

welcome to the white house
Have you been keeping up on all our new president's on-goings? And no, I don't mean his recent family trip to Paris or his date night in NYC with Michelle. The White House web site is a very functional and well put together site that gives you up to date information on current legislature, the budget, videos of President Obama's weekly address and an informative blog. Check it out and stay informed! {especially about the health care situation...yikes!}

pbs video
PBS has recently launched PBS Video beta which is basically the hulu for Public Broadcasting. It's pretty neat though. I especially like the Performing Arts section, I have already watched a bit of the Royal Shakespeare's production of King Lear with Sir Ian McKellen {whose website is totally random for a big actor like he} and directed by, Trevor Nunn. I can't wait for the Broadway shows to be posted! I'm so nerdy.
You can browse by topic or show with already lots of options to choose from. Get a little cultured today...I guess I can say that now that I have already watched 30 Rock and Gossip Girl yesterday.

bob, your blueberry is ringing
My mom sometimes calls my dad's blackberry a blueberry. Yes, its awesome.
I love parents and technology. My dad is really good because he is a genius and my mom is pretty good, but funny. She likes to show off her beautiful spreadsheets. We have that in common, I guess.
But here's where technology worlds are colliding.....have your parents joined facebook? I have a few aunts and uncles, but no parents yet. My mom just gets on my account so she can see my pics and chat with my Aunt E. and my dad says he's thinking about it. It woudn't bother me because I don't have 2 lives {one with friends, one with family} but, some people are finding their social networking world is crashing in on itself now....

something borrowed, something blue, something used?
Would you buy a used wedding dress? I saw PreOwned Wedding Dresses in the Times and was a little intrigued. There were actually some really beautiful dresses on the site, Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhullier, etc. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I really want to know what you think? congress on you tube
That's right folks. The US Senate and the House of Representatives have launched their own YouTube channels in order to connect with the American public. So instead of watching the Fillipino prisoners dance Thriller for the umpteenth time, go to the US Senate channel or the H of R channel and see what they have to say. Being informed is so now....
