I'm going for a QUICK trip to Disney World soon and I need help with where to stay!  I have ZERO clue about the best places that won't break the bank.  All we want to do is just go to the parks.  Let me know if you have some insight.

Summer is quickly making its final bow. I am very ready for change as we have basically been in warm/hot climates since February. I do wish though that I was able to throw one last shindig. I have always wanted to throw an outdoor movie night with popcorn, sodas and treats in my backyard. Ooh, and maybe a cotton candy machine....and twinkle lights.....lots of twinkle lights.

I found Backyard Theater...a great site with lots of ideas from other people holding outdoor movie parties. There are also a zillion places to rent a projector if you don't already have one. Someone please do this so I can live vicariously through you....

the great wicked bowling tournament of 2009

I organized a bowling tournament for us in Tulsa, OK....we needed to let off a little steam, you know? Talk about a success! Such fun and some really fantastic bowlers {myself not included}. We plan to make it an ongoing activity {especially because I got a trophy made}!

Saw this on dSharp and had to post about it immediately.  Little sis Caitlyn HAS to either have the Gimme Some Sugar pancreas shirt {she has pancreantitis} or Gall of the Wild shirt {she doesn't have her gall bladder anymore}.  Stuff happens...mind as well celebrate and wear a cute shirt in the meantime.

bob, your blueberry is ringing

My mom sometimes calls my dad's blackberry a blueberry.  Yes, its awesome.

I love parents and technology.  My dad is really good because he is a genius and my mom is pretty good, but funny.  She likes to show off her beautiful spreadsheets.  We have that in common, I guess.  

But here's where technology worlds are colliding.....have your parents joined facebook?  I have a few aunts and uncles, but no parents yet.  My mom just gets on my account so she can see my pics and chat with my Aunt E. and my dad says he's thinking about it.  It woudn't bother me because I don't have 2 lives {one with friends, one with family} but, some people are finding their social networking world is crashing in on itself now....

april fools

My second cousins family always did the most outrageous and well planned out April Fools day jokes. I've never really been in to it because often it involves gross mixtures of food and thats just not my thing. But, I got this idea in my inbox today and thought it was clever.

Solid Milk

Stir 1 packet of powdered gelatin into 2 tablespoons of water, and let stand for 5 minutes. Warm 2 cups of milk in the microwave. Stir the gelatin mixture into the milk. Transfer to a glass pitcher or bottle, and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
