Making something handmade for Christmas gifts this year? I saw some Peppermint Bark at Costco and am thinking what a great and inexpensive way to give a gift to the masses. Put a few pieces in a cellophane bag and print out a holiday label to staple over the top. Easy peasy!

lots 2 say baby

Awhile ago I received a lovely e-mail from the owner and creator of a pacifier line called Lots 2 Say Baby. She just so happened to have the name Erin Wilson, which of course I got quite a kick out of. I finally got around to looking at her products and I have to say I think it is pretty darn cute. Plus her pacifiers are BPA free and apparently very popular among the little ones. I'm not sure the general consensus moms have about pacifiers now--everyone has their own thing--but, I thought this was a clever idea worth sharing. Plus it would make a cute baby shower gift topper. Congrats Erin on taking an idea and folliwing though to a a growing business!

I've got to say, freaking Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day is a ROCKSTAR.  

Seriously, she is incredible--such a talent, ridiculously creative and must fully live the life she dreams.  I have been so uninspired lately to post anything....UNTIL TODAY.  I saw this and just about bawled my eyes out because it is simply gorgeous and a DIY project {my fav combo}.

Sarah is my dear, dear friend who has been away from NYC for a LONG time because she's been on tour with Jersey Boys. She surprised me with an incredible birthday/congrats gift and I was blown away! I had no idea what to expect and was so excited to see that she got me a Wicked journal { for all of my Wicked tour experiences--PERFECT } and some words of wisdom to help keep me sane in every city. When I was about 7 or 8 my parents made us kids an amazing indoor playhouse for Christmas. The structure was engineered with PVC pipe and the outside of the house was made with fabric and some clear plastic which fashioned some windows on the sides of the house. It was perfection and I was in heaven.

This showed up in my inbox this morning and I am pretty sure any kid would go gaga over it {especially because there is a window}. Also, check out the Acorn Toy Shop's site. Pretty cool stuff :)

a pouch of goodness

I am la la la loving the DIY Hot Cocoa pouch over at Style Me Pretty. I'm thinking this could be a fantastic favor to give thanks to friends and neighbors for Thanksgiving. I would simply swap out the cocoa for apple cider and the marshmallows with a spice cookie, or my mothers famous recipe for simmering smells {I will post this a little later in the season}. Or, maybe wait until Christmas and have a fabulous {and low-budget} gift ready to go for visitors and guests.
