waterfalls in a concrete jungle

I was on the Brooklyn Bridge this a.m. helping out a youth sponsored scavenger hunt for my church. It was nice to be there so early and it was also fantastic to learn more about the bridge itself. Did you know that over 150,000 cars cross the bridge daily? Also, did you know that it is built on SAND? Crazy!

I was super excited to go down and see Olafur Eliasson's art installation of the waterfalls now in NYC. The waterfalls will run between June 26 and Oct. 13 at Pier 35; at the eastern foot of the Brooklyn Bridge; between Piers 4 and 5 near the Brooklyn Heights Promenade; and on the north shore of Governors Island.
